Serryn’s PhD in Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and the design of administrative boundaries, completed in 2003 has contributed to changes in the allocation of administrative boundaries across Australia. Subsequent to completing her PhD, Serryn researched and lectured in spatial analysis at Curtin University in Western Australia for three years, returning to Melbourne in 2007.

Serryn has coordinated the development of the City of Melbourne (CoM)’s ‘Future Melbourne’ vision and worked on the CoM Design & Urban Environment team to develop and refine a GIS model to calculate the potential population capacity of transport corridors across Metropolitan Melbourne. This work has included analysis of urban density scenarios and the associated urban design parameters involved. Serryn has developed the data fusion model for Crowd Counting at large events, this model has been used and tested over 40 times.

Graduate Diploma Conservation and Land Management

Martin joined EdgRESEARCH as an experienced project manager. Martin has been involved in the crowd counting project for the past 9 years which continues to provide the City of Melbourne with annual figures on the attendance at premier events.

Martin has a diploma of Conservation and Land Management and has worked in  industry for over a decade. Martin is actively involved in the local community is on a number of community groups including the Friends of Upfield Linear Parkland, Shirley Robertson Children’s Centre and Friends of Maribyrnong Valley.

A specialist in economic financial modelling, John has a post-graduate degree in Accounting and Finance, is a member of CPA Australia and brings over 20 years experience in economics, regulatory reporting and finance with major banks to the Eagleson Data Group Research knowledge base.
